Have you ever had the dream of travelling into space and exploring the unknown stars? Have you ever had the ambition to tell a good story or to write about an awe-inspiring event? Have you ever watched Star Trek on Television and thought that "Hey, I can write a better story than that!" or "Wow, I want to write like that!"
Well the year is 2158 and Starfleet has rapidly expanded it's fleet to explore and to get Earth on the map. We're heading towards our 7th anniversary in Novermber and we're still growing, but we need more good people onboard our ships to help Earth and Starfleet explore what is out there. Exploration is the answer to our future. Come and join the first adventures of Starfleet.
New Darwin Colony is in the Gamma Sagittarii System approximately 25 light years from Earth on the Klingon border. The system and colony site were once under Klingon rule and they enslaved a race called Daliwakans forcing them to mine the vast resources of the systems moons.
Liberated by Earth space ships the settlement on the M-Class Gamma Sagittarii II (Oonah Lotmah) has been turned into a fully fledged colony (New Darwin); a project with the Daliwakans supported by Earth's Starfleet and the Coalition. There are plans for an academy and orbital science and defence stations for stabilization and intelligence gathering in the region.
The New Darwin Colony is an "Enterprise" era sim that is part of Starfleet - The First Era Role Play Group the Internet's first "Enterprise" era only RPG Group. In 2008 it was voted "Flag SIM" by the rest of the organisation. Played by E-mail only, dedication to quality simming in a simpler time is one of the foci on the sim.

For all active users to date, already written articles have discussion pages. If you want to discuss an article, that's oddly enough the place to go.
For all editors (more will be appearing shortly) I urge you to read the following guide. Especially the sections concerning piped links, tables and really anything else to do with formatting of text. The following text may also be useful for some.
Also, please read over The First Era Sim Group's disclaimer page
